About Humansdorp Cultural Centre

The Kouga Cultural Centre is an economic development project of the Kouga Municipality, EC 108. The project began with the construction of a unique landmark African building in the town of Humansdorp, Eastern Cape.

The building's design symbolizes the birth of the African Renaissance' and the Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) methods of construction achieve an integrated relationship between the needs of the people, the economy and the environment.

The Kouga Cultural Centre's objective is to provide the community and tourists with an opportunity to experience and participate in the diverse cultures of the Kouga Region. Activities to be presented at the Centre and through the Centre will have as its main purpose to unite people from various backgrounds through the understanding and recognition of our cultural diversity.
